NME magazine is a staple of British music culture. They wanted to create a spin off that has a closer focus on the historical aspect of music. In this case, the history of jazz improvisation.
The result was an editorial that honours and captures the abstract & spontaneous sub genre that is jazz improvisation. A beautiful, calculated mess which has inspired so many of the sounds we hear today.
